Nach dem Abitur 2003 zog er nach Berlin. Dort entschied er sich gegen ein Studium und widmete sich dem Schreiben. Seinen Lebensunterhalt bestritt er mit Nebenjobs. <\/p>\n<p>Der Lebenslauf liest sich, wie der von Jesper Lier, der Hauptfigur in Wells Roman &#8222;Spinner&#8220;.  Auch er zieht von M\u00fcnchen nach Berlin, zum studieren, schreibt sich aber nur an der Uni ein und hat nur ein Ziel: Schriftsteller zu werden. <\/p>\n<p>Ein chaotischer Held, jung und mit vielen Tr\u00e4umen. Sein Manuskript, an dem er arbeitet, hat 1000 Seiten. Er schreibt in seiner kleinen Wohnung,  einer Kellerwohnung auf dem Prenzlauer Berg, &#8211; ohne Tageslicht. Dorthin hat er sich zur\u00fcckgezogen. Von Zeit zu Zeit taucht Gustav auf, sein Kumpel. Dann geht es durch die Nacht: Clubs, Kneipen, Caf\u00e9s, U-Bahn und wenig Schlaf, aber viel Rausch. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Ein neuer Blick<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hier schreibt ein Autor der neuen Generation, \u00fcber die \u00c4ngste seiner Generation und \u00fcber die Suche nach Sinn. Irgendwie kennt man das, ein altes uraltes Thema, aber Benedict Wells hat seinen eigenen Sound und so entwickelt das Buch einen Sog; sieben Tage Berlin, aus den Augen eines jungen Menschen. Ein neuer Blick, ein neuer Ton \u2013 der Sound der Sinnlosigkeit.
